Admission to the Health Science Programs is competitive and completion of minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance to a program.

The Health Science departments reserve the right to change curriculum as deemed necessary at any time for preparation to new and emerging roles in society.

Credits for Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Developmental Psychology will be accepted in transfer to a Health Science Program only if they are completed within 5 years of entry. All required science courses must be 4 credits and have a lab component. A grade of C or better is also required. Anatomy and Physiology I and II must be completed at the same college for acceptance.

Applicants must submit a physician-completed Health Form to the College Nurse before final acceptance to a Health Science Program. This form must document that the applicant is in good physical and mental health, free of any communicable disease and is physically and mentally capable of fulfilling all duties as required by the respective program. Applicants are responsible for expense of health exam and/or cost of required immunizations.

The health form must be submitted by the deadline date established by the Health Science departments. Attendance will be prohibited from any clinical activity until a completed health form is on file. The student will be responsible for payment of fees for make-up time as a result of this action. Health forms are provided by the respective department after the initial acceptance.

Criminal record check completed by Pennsylvania State Police must be submitted. The Nursing Department also requires a Child Abuse Clearance be completed.

In addition to the above requirements, individual programs may have special requirements for admission.
