34th Annual Alumni Association Craft Festival
Saturday, October 21, 2023
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Nanticoke, PA

Due to an expansion and some last minute cancellations we have a few spaces still open for the LCCC Alumni Association Craft Festival on Saturday, October 21st. These are in our Gymnasium and are 8x10 - $50. This is a juried show and you will still be required to submit photos and complete the application. Apps will be accepted through Monday, Oct 9 or until all spaces are filled. Please take a moment to share with any friends who may be interested!

We are now accepting applications for our 34th Annual Luzerne County Community College Alumni Craft Festival on Saturday, October 21, 2023.  Our show is a longstanding event that features nearly 150 artisans and food vendors and draws people from throughout our region to shop at this one-day event.  Proceeds from the Craft Festival support Luzerne County Community College and its students.

This is a juried show and the Committee will look for quality and originality when reviewing all submissions.  Applicants are required to submit the following photos with your application: three of your product, two of you working on your craft and one of your display. These photos can be submitted in one of three ways: 1) you may email them to craftshow@luzerne.edu (include your name in the subject line; acceptable photo file formats are .jpg, .png and .pdf); 2) you may upload to our One Drive account for larger files or videos - email blauer@luzerne.edu for a link or 3) you can mail in photos to LCCC Craft Festival, 521 Trailblazer Dr., Nanticoke, PA 18634.  If you do not have any new crafts and have participated in each of the past 3 years (2019-present) you may request that we use your photos on file (and please note #9 below).

Please note the following guidelines:
  1. All crafts must be hand made by the vendor. Items that will not be accepted include, but are not limited to
the following: plastic canvas; pre-manufactured components; commercial products; flea market, collectibles or antique items; pre-stamped material; products purchased through wholesalers or catalogs (i.e. buy-sell items); unpainted greenware; mass produced items; dried flowers, basic decoupage and craft supplies. The committee reserves the right to request removal during the show of unacceptable items.  Non-compliance will be addressed and you will not be invited to future shows.  In addition, LCCC and the Craft Festival Committee take no responsibility for vendors who infringe upon trademarks, copyrights, service marks or other intellectual property rights or license agreements of third parties.
  2. Participants are asked to limit your display to 3 main categories  (i.e. jewelry, soaps, wood crafts, etc.). Incomplete applications will not be reviewed / approved by the committee.  Additional items that are not
included on the application that you wish to sell must be submitted in writing and with photographs no later
than September 29, 2023.  The Committee will notify you of approval.
  3. Only one indoor space may be rented per participant. You may rent double spaces outdoors. Chairs,
tables and display units are the responsibility of the participant. Outdoor spaces must have tents with  weights of 50 lbs per leg.
  4. Payment Information:  We accept checks and credit cards/money orders.  Credit cards will have a $4/surcharge to cover processing fees.  If you are paying by check please use the promo code: PAYBYCHECK on the attached registration page to reverse the surcharge. Refunds will not be issued to no-shows or those canceling less than two weeks prior to the event (October 6, 2023). In addition, any new applications received after September 29, 2023, will incur a $10 late charge that must be included in your registration fee (based on availability).
  5. Liability: Neither LCCC nor its staff or volunteers will be held responsible for damage due to breakage, fire, accidents, injuries or theft.
  6. Donation:  All vendors are asked to donate a handcrafted prize with a minimum retail value of $10 to support the Craft Festival raffle.  If you prefer you may donate a basket to our Theme Basket Auction, we ask that baskets have a minimum retail value of $25.  Please notify us prior to the show if you plan to donate a basket so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
  7. Food Vendors:  All food vendors must submit a  “Certificate of Insurance” naming LCCC as the insured for the day of the event and be Safe Serve Certified (include a copy with your application).  The representative from your company who is certified must be present at the Craft Festival.
  8. Food vendors must limit their offerings to no more than 4 main food items. Indoor food vendors may not sell beverages or craft items.
  9. Participation in past years does not guarantee a space in this year’s show.

The application deadline for the first round of jurying is Friday, July 31, 2023.  After this date, spaces will most likely only be available outdoors. You will receive notification and additional information regarding the craft show by Friday, August 21, 2023. Checks will not be deposited until you have been approved for the show.
If you are not selected to participate we will return your application fee to you after August 21st.  Should you have questions, please call the LCCC Alumni office at 570-740-0734 or e-mail craftshow@luzerne.edu.  Thank you for your interest in our show!
