An order has been placed with the PA Department of Health and College officials are waiting for the vaccine to be released. Nursing faculty and nursing students, as well as other volunteers, will help administer the vaccine once it is received. The clinic will be held at the Public Safety Training Institute (PSTI) located across South Prospect Street. Clinics have been tentatively scheduled for the following dates and times: November 23 and 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The clinic will be open on these dates for all students currently enrolled in any of our Health Science curricula and faculty of these curricula. This group is the most at-risk group and need the vaccines to complete their clinical requirements. The security department also is included in this group as they are the first responders on campus. December 1, 2 and 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: These dates have been tentatively selected for students ages 24 years and younger, and for staff and students under 65 having underlying health conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, suppressed immune systems, heart disease, kidney disease, and neurocognitive and neuromuscular disorders). A completed, signed consent form must be presented at the clinic in order to receive the vaccine. The consent form can be found on the Student Intranet under ?Document Space? and the Staff Intranet under ?College Forms.? PSTI staff will notify students and staff when the arrival of the vaccine and final dates for the clinics are confirmed. Watch the campus monitors and the College Intranet for announcements.
