The Luzerne County Community College history/social science department will hold a Mental Health Awareness Series during October. The series will feature several guest speakers who will discuss different mental health disorders that effect people daily.
On Thursday, October 2, Karen Amesbury, assistant professor, social science/history, will discuss depression and suicide. Roseann O'Connor, associate professor, social science/history, will discuss autism on Thursday, October 16. Rose Poulakos, adjunct faculty, will speak about addiction on Thursday, October 23. Andrea Pabon, assistant professor, social science/history, will discuss anxiety on Thursday, October 30. All programs will begin at 11 a.m., at the ECC.
