This American Life Exhibit
LCCC will hold an art exhibit at the Schulman Gallery at the College's Campus Center. "This American Life" will feature paintings depicting culture, identity, and daily life in America by three regional artists including Debbie Baer, John Clark, and Michael Hockenbury. Their works examine daily American life in its most recognizable environments -- quaint towns, bustling cities, sweeping farmland, and meandering shorelines -- as well as in the sentimental objects which mark both the future and our most treasured memories of the past. The exhibit will open with a public reception on Friday, August 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Schulman Gallery. Participants will have to opportunity to speak with the artists at the opening event. The exhibit is free and open to the public and will be open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Thursday, October 16.
