Campus Candids - College Activities

The LCCC Alumni Association and Student Life Office recently conducted a Gowns4Good Collection. The Gowns4Good initiative was designed to protect health care workers by upcycling graduation gowns to be used as personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care facilities. Close to 200 gowns were collected and distributed to national health care facilities and nursing homes. The Alumni Association also held a Giving Day in observance of the College's opening on October 2, 1967 and is selling face coverings with the LCCC logo. This year, the College observed a moment of silence to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
