KEYS Education and Employment Pathways (KEEP) Program

The KEYS program in collaboration with the Adult Learners' Training and Assistance (ALTA) Program are offering the opportunity to obtain High School Equivalency (or GED) while co-enrolling at Luzerne County Community College through the KEEP Program. Currently, the KEEP program is available at the following LCCC campuses: Main, Wilkes-Barre, Pittston and Scranton.

This program is for individuals who receive either SNAP or TANF benefits through their local county assistance office, do not have a high school diploma or GED, AND want to attend Luzerne County Community College to pursue a degree, certificate or diploma. This is not a GED-only program; participants are required to take an Ability To Benefit (ATB) test to determine eligibility for college co-enrollment and financial aid. Additionally, participants will complete an application to LCCC and a FAFSA application prior to starting the program. Furthermore, participants will identify a major from a pre-approved list of supported majors at the college.

Upon completion of the KEEP program, individuals will obtain their GED and be enrolled at LCCC working towards a degree. All KEEP students are eligible to receive the support services of the KEYS program.

For more information about the KEEP program, please submit a request form and a KEYS staff member will contact you.
