Luzerne County Community College will hold Student Government Association elections from Tuesday, April 23 through Thursday, April 25. Positions available for the 2019-2020 school year are president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, sophomore representative, freshman representative, and part-time student representative.
Each person seeking office must obtain the signatures of 50 LCCC students to apply for an SGA position. Requirements for each position are listed in the Student Government Constitution which is in the Student Handbook on pages 73-78.
Packets are available at the Student Life Office on the second floor of the Campus Center from Tuesday, March 19 through Friday, April 5. Campaigning begins on Monday, April 8. A Meet the Candidates Forum will be held on Tuesday, April 16, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Campus Center Rotunda, at which time candidates will present their platforms to interested students. Refreshments will be served.
