April Food Drive Recognizes Community Support During Community College Month

As part of the celebration of Community College Month, the residents of Oplinger Towers in Nanticoke demonstrated their commitment to supporting local students by generously collecting food items for the LCCC Peter J. Lello Student Food Bank All-Campus Food Drive.*

Rebecca Brominski, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement & Foundation at Luzerne County Community College (LCCC), expressed gratitude for the residents' contributions, stating, "We appreciate the residents of Oplinger Towers for supporting the LCCC Peter J. Lello Student Food Bank All-Campus Food Drive. Their donation and ongoing partnership help the College fight hunger and food insecurity among our students and their families."

Luzerne County Community College has recently been awarded the Pennsylvania Hunger-Free Campus Designation, a reflection of its dedication to ensuring students have access to essential resources. The donations from Oplinger Towers will significantly impact food pantries at the LCCC Main Campus in Nanticoke and all affiliated LCCC Centers, allowing students experiencing food insecurity to access the support they need.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the residents of Oplinger Towers for their remarkable support and commitment to helping fellow students thrive.
