Luzerne County Community College - COVID-19

The COVID-19 public health emergency officially ended May 2023, bringing a close to a variety of pandemic-era policies and procedures. It is no longer a requirement to track or report positive covid cases on campus. Although the public health emergency has ended, and keeping with following CDC guidance, the CDC still recommends anyone with COVID-19 should isolate themselves from others for at least five full days. The CDC considers your first full day of isolation to be the day after you began feeling sick or, if you are asymptomatic, the day after you got tested. It is recommended that if you test positive, and are out sick, report it to your instructors (or supervisors for staff).
