Free tutoring services to boost your GPA.
The Write Place allows you to submit writing assignments via email for review. Our faculty reviewers will then provide personal assistance to help writing efficiency and overall writing abilities. The reviewer will respond within 3 to 5 days (depending on the length of the assignment) and meet with you, if necessary.

Paying For College
Once you complete your FAFSA and all required steps, please log into self-service to accept your award and review if you have a credit balance (negative balance). If you do, please contact the Business office to request a bookstore account be set up using the anticipated credit balance up to $1,000. Once the bookstore account is set up, it will show on your student account as a miscellaneous charge. It is ready to be used at LCCC Trailblazer bookstore using your student ID.

The Peter Lello Food Pantry at Main Campus(Nanticoke Campus at the Campus Center 2nd Floor & Wilkes Barre Campus Main Office) provides food to our students who are experiencing food insecurity or may need supplemental food options or personal care items. We realize that there are many financial obligations for students and from time to time it is difficult to cover all expenses necessary to be a successful student. Stop by for some nutritious food.
The Hazleton Center Student Food Pantry is located in Room 207 on the 2nd fl and accessible Monday-Thursday 10 AM-2 PM and 4:30 PM-8:30 PM. It is a confidential program to aid LCCC Hazleton Center Students in need of on the go breakfast and lunch/dinner items, snacks, beverages, basic school supplies, & personal hygiene products. Please see an advisor for admittance or any questions.

Annual Foundation Scholarship Dinner
The 2025 Luzerne County Community College Foundation Scholarship Celebration Dinner was an evening filled with inspiration and gratitude. Held at the Westmoreland Club, the event brought together donors, students, alumni, and friends of the College to celebrate the power of education and the impact of generosity.

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is a federal and state funded early childhood education program that focuses on promoting the school readiness of eligible children ages 3 to 5 through family involvement, health and nutrition, education and family social services. Head Start has an on-campus location at LCCC's Nanticoke Campus.
ACT 101 is an academic supportive program focused on helping you graduate. The program serves students who tested into one or more developmental courses, have earned a GED, be a language learner, or returning adult that has been out of school for 5 or more years, and meet income guidelines.

Sam is at Luzerne County Community College's Nanticoke campus speaking with Martha Pezzino; Director of History Conference & LCCC History Professor and Richelle Smith; History Conference presenter & LCCC History Professor about the upcoming 33rd Annual Pennsylvania History Conference's "Abolitionism in Pennsylvania. Monday, October 13 in the large auditorium of the ECC from 9am to 2pm. In addition to several speakers who will present information about Pennsylvania's role in the Abolitionist Movement, we will have prizes, swag, and food!
It is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

LCCC Alumni Association's 36th Annual Fall Craft Festival Saturday, October 18, 2025 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) has approved Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) to operate one of Pennsylvania?s newest Act 120 Municipal Police Academies. The academy will be housed at LCCC?s Public Safety Training Institute in Nanticoke and will begin in spring 2026, offering two cohorts of 25 cadets each.

Luzerne County Community College will host the Art in the Garden Exhibition at the Schulman Gallery from Friday, September 26, 2025, through Friday, October 24, 2025.
The exhibition features works created by artists from the 2025 tour of the Back Mountain Gardens, presented in association with the Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club.
An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Luzerne County Community College (LCCC), Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (CU), and Hazleton Area School District (HASD) are launching an educational partnership in Fall 2025 to tackle Pennsylvania's critical teacher shortage, where over 5,500 vacancies exist amidst declining education degree enrollments and record teacher attrition.

An innovative educational program designed to expand opportunties for area high school students from local high school Career & Technical Centers to pursue college courses and career pathways at LCCC.
