
Luzerne County Community College Holds 26th Annual Emergency Medical Services Commencement
Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) celebrated the achievements of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program Class of 2025 at the 26th Annual Commencement, held Thursday, August 14, at 6 p.m. in the College's Educational Conference Center.*
The ceremony recognized graduates who successfully completed the rigorous EMS program, preparing them to serve their communities as highly skilled first responders.
Program Director Mark Ercolani welcomed graduates, families, faculty, and guests, followed by remarks from Dr. Russ Bigus, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Kimberly Olszewski, Dean of Health Science Programs, and Dr. David Schoenwetter, Medical Director.
The evening also included remarks from Clinical Coordinator Stephen Fish and a heartfelt student address delivered by Beth Fisher, Class of 2025 Graduate.

The EMS program at LCCC is supported by a dedicated faculty and advisory committee who mentor students in the classroom, clinical settings, and field experiences. Faculty members include Chester Atherton, Fred Bales, John Daly, Gary Eble, Raymond Elick, David Megotz, Melissa Mikulski, Darlene Murawski, Lee Rosato, Robert Roth, Dan Schultz, Adam Scotchlas, Bryan Shepard, Minan Faris, Lindsay Fish, Stephen Fish, Wendy Franklin, Frank Gilligan, Edmund Gromelski, Howard Hicks, Jill Hildebrand, Jamie Souder, Robert Sembrat, Brittany Temarantz, Emmett Thomas, Jason Ward, Frank Willis, and Dale Hendricks.
