LCCC requires all students to take the Placement Test prior to their first semester of enrollment. The purpose of this placement testing is to assist Academic Advisors and Counselors in determining proper course placement to optimize student success. Transfer Students who have successfully completed college courses at another post-secondary institution, and submit official transcripts to the Registrar's Office may be exempt from placement testing. Applicants with SAT scores of 500 Verbal and 500 Math are exempt from placement testing.
SELECTIVE ADMISSIONS – HEALTH SCIENCES PROGRAMS
Health Sciences programs have separate admission requirements. Admission to the college does not guarantee admission to specific Health Sciences programs. Selective admission is required due to the limited number of clinical facilities available. All applicants will be placed in the General Studies program pending acceptance into a Health Sciences program. Applicants interested in Health Sciences programs must complete and submit all admission requirements by the deadlines for each Health Sciences programs. Please refer to the college catalog or website for selective admission requirements. The Department of Health Sciences requires all students admitted to a Health Sciences program receive clearance on criminal background checks before final acceptance into a program within the College.
