Position Title: PT Bilingual Admissions Recruiter

Position Classification: Part-Time Administration

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - Associate's Degree.

  2. Experience - One (1) year experience in sales, recruitment, meeting the public or a related field; experience in higher education preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English fluency required.

  3. Skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills; possess an understanding of admission procedures and general academic and financial aid advisement; proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to relate to business clients and students of a diverse population; travel required; proficient in database tracking and report generation; proven ability to meet or exceed individual goals and positively contribute to overall goals; strong presentation skills.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Responsible for building relationships with prospective students, with a major focus and emphasis on the recruitment of Hispanic and minority populations within our service area; increase applications through presentations, phone, in person, and email contacts; serves as a recruiter for Luzerne County Community College and assists prospective students and parents in the admissions and enrollment process; serves as a representative for business, industry, government, community and education agencies and assists in recruitment activities associated with the college programs; track and retain contacts and leads, conducts admission interviews and campus tours with prospective students and orients students to college's entire enrollment process; disseminate admissions communications to prospective students; supports walk-in prospective students and parents and clarifies and interprets College's policies and procedures.

    Entry Salary: $20.78/hour

    Standard Work Week: 19 hours
