Position Title: FT Instructional Designer Position Classification: Full-Time Twelve (12) Month Faculty Minimum Position Qualifications: Academic Rank: Instructor
Assist faculty in developing or redeveloping courses for new and/or existing programs based on appropriate pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy that support all instructional modalities. Facilitate course quality review process, incorporating knowledge of industry-leading quality course review standards such as those in the Open SUNY/OLC Quality Scorecard, Quality Matters Rubric, Blackboard Exemplary Course Rubric, or similar. Assist faculty in developing alternative assessments, evaluation tools, rubrics, and other artifacts that enhance learning and prepare students for the workforce. Collaborate with faculty and IT department personnel to incorporate educational technologies that support and improve teaching and learning, including AI-enabled products. Develop and deliver faculty and student training/workshops, and related training resources, that are designed to promote excellence in instruction and the student learning experience. Assess the effectiveness of course designs and modalities utilizing a variety of institutional data to evaluate effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes.
