Position Title: Program Coordinator Nurse Aide Training Program

Position Classification: Adjunct Faculty

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  1. Education - High school diploma with some additional formal education and/or training.

  2. Experience - Assists in program marketing, student recruitment, instructor scheduling, compliance with state-mandated program requirements, and coordination of long term care clinical sites. Hours negotiable. Experience in health care setting preferred.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Update curriculum for the Nurse Aide Career Training Program, which is compliant with the PA Dept. of Education Standards. Includes course content, text selection, learning materials, clinical experiences and classroom activities focusing on the basic knowledge and skills needed to care for individuals in a long term care facility; Assist in marketing and student recruiting efforts for the Nurse Aide Career Training Program; develop and implement assessment tests to determine student readiness for the Nurse Aide Program; coordinate intake process with students, which includes Assessment Testing, sending information packets, answering inquiries, making follow-up contacts, insuring completeness of files prior to beginning of course, finalizing rosters, creating sections and posting grades into student management information system; conduct annual evaluation of the instructors; insure compliance with all program requirements; coordinate instructor schedules and recruit instructors as needed.

    Entry Salary: $18.50/hour
