FAQs

Early College is open to high school students who are academically ready to take on college-level coursework. Students must receive approval from their high school and meet LCCC's placement requirements. Learn more about how to enroll.

Early College students receive a discounted tuition rate:

  • Courses at your high school: $50 per credit (a 3-credit course could cost around $150), plus a $40 Early College fee per course. Additional costs, such as textbooks or materials, may also apply.
  • Courses at LCCC or online: $75 per credit, plus the $40 Early College fee and any applicable course materials.

Scholarship opportunities are available through certain school districts. Contact us to see if your school district is included.

Yes. Credits earned through Early College are part of an official LCCC transcript and may transfer to many colleges and universities.

LCCC has transfer agreements with numerous four-year colleges and universities. Even if a school is not a partner, most colleges will consider accepting credits on a course-by-course basis. Students are encouraged to check with the admissions office of the college they plan to attend.

Yes. Early College students may take classes online, in person at LCCC, or at their high school (if courses are offered there).

LCCC offers rolling admission for Early College, meaning you can apply any time. To maximize your options and prepare for the semester you want to start, it's best to apply early: fall classes typically begin in August and spring classes in January.
