Chair Massages will take place on Wednesday, November 19th in the Rotunda of Campus Center (Building 14). Each massage will last about 15 minutes. First massages begin at 11:00 AM, and run through 2:00 PM.

The FOCUSED Exhibition will be presented in the Schulman Gallery of Luzerne County Community College and will run from Friday, November 14, 2025 through Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The Exhibition showcases fine art Photography created by Photographers of Northeastern Pennsylvania and surrounding regional areas.
The Opening Reception will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., which will include light fare, and refreshments, and live piano music in the Gallery! (Snow Date: Monday, November 17, 2025 6-8 p.m.)
Admission is free and open to the public.

There are still about a dozen Head Start children on campus available for "adoption" this Christmas, and we invite anyone and everyone on campus to participate and to help one of the Head Start kids.
Just come to the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department suite in building 3 and pick a child to purchase gifts for. Simply take the photocopy of the ornament in the file on the door, sign your name in the appropriate class and next to the child's name, and then return the gifts to the department no later than Monday, December 8 so that we can get them to Head Start in time. The gifts should be wrapped when they are returned.
Thank you for your generosity in advance. For many of these children, these are the only Christmas gifts they may be receiving this year!

In honor of Veteran's Day, the Wellness Committee will kick off the Winter Warrior Warmup sock collection for local veterans. The LCCC Wellness Committee has partnered with Heroes Hearthstone from Dallas, PA.
Heroes Hearthstone is a Pennsylvania-proud, registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, supported by volunteers and funded through donations and grants.
New, unworn socks can be dropped off at the Fitness Center Desk, second floor, building 14, in front of the Student Life office, third floor, building 14, and building 5. If you would like a basket for your area, please contact Miranda (mcosta@luzerne.edu)

As we start to head into playoffs now is the perfect time for anyone that has been thinking to join Esports to do so while the iron is hot for next season!
Registration will go until February 14th but certain games will have accelerated timelines specifically Valorant And League of Legends due to the cval and clol. There will be open enrollment for D3 intramural level play as well.
We carry over 20 different games from fighting games, strategy, fps, battle royal, and more. We take all skill levels, no tryouts, you will have a choice of using controller or keyboard and mouse.

Volunteers are needed to help wrap presents on December 22nd, 2025, at Boscov's in Wilkes-Barre! There is a current group with nine open slots for anyone that wants to volunteer without making a reservation.
Valley Santa is a local organization that provides wrapped gifts to Luzerne County children in need during the holidays. LCCC has been an active participant for many years and will be involved for many years to come.
From reading letters to Santa, purchasing toys, all the way to wrapping and delivering, Valley Santa does amazing things thanks to the volunteers that apply.
Please note that any volunteers will need to arrange their own transportation.

The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department would like to thank all who made the 33rd Annual Pennsylvania History Conference a success this past Monday a success. Thanks to the presenters and to all who attended.
Mark your calendars for the 34th Annual Pennsylvania History Conference on Monday, October 12, 2026. The topic will be "Immigration in Pennsylvania History".
For your safety and the safety of the renovation workers on campus, please do not walk under or climb over caution tape and/or construction barriers to access sidewalks and buildings.
Alternate egress is available to all buildings throughout the renovations.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these important improvements to our campus.
There are some campus infrastructure and modernization projects taking place on our Main Campus that have begun this week, and which will continue over the next few months. We will work to coordinate the building exterior projects so that there is the least amount of disruption to the College community as possible.
All work will be conducted with the safety of everyone considered first and within compliance of all regulations for the work being completed. The project includes roof replacement on five (5) building roofs - Buildings 3, 7, 11, 12, and 13; plus, ten gazebo roofs; and four (4) canopy roofs.
The removal of the existing stone fascia, abatement of asbestos containing materials, and replacement with a metal panel fascia will take place on buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11.
Additionally, approximately 500 existing blackout spandrel panels (window panel work) on Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will be cleaned, resealed, and painted; miscellaneous minor repairs and painting of EIFS Fascia and Masonry Cleaning at Building 4; and preparing (sanding/grinding) for and painting of the four (4) canopies on campus.

In addition to having your order number ready to give to any present Bookstore staff member(Ex: 21270000026603), you must have ID on-hand to also present to a staff member.
If someone else is picking up your order on your behalf, you must email a staff member that you are giving permission to do so.
A message such as "I John Doe, give permission to Jane Doe to pick up my order of 21270000026603" will suffice. That is the only way someone else can pickup on order an your behalf.

President John Yudichak invites you to join him on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, to honor the College's students, faculty, and staff, and all who have served our country. The College's Veterans Day Program will be held at 11 a.m. at the Patrick J. Solano Veterans Center, Building 14, Main Campus. Career Services will be hosting its Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, November 12th, from 11am-2pm. The Fair will feature over 25 employers looking to hire the LCCC students.
This is your opportunity to speak with employers about FT, PT jobs, and internships. Get a jump on a new career and bring your resumes!
This year several healthcare networks will be participating, so if you will need an internship in the Spring or Summer, make a point to attend the Fair.

The members of the Alumni Association board will meet on Monday, November 10 at 5:30pm in room 130 of the Educational Conference Center. The meeting will also be available on Microsoft Teams, just let us know by noon on Monday, 11/10, so you can receive the meeting link.
At our next meeting we will be discussing our recent craft festival as well as our upcoming CASH bingo and start to plan our spring event!
Expanded Membership: Alumni membership now includes individuals who have completed 30 or more credits at LCCC, even if they haven't earned a degree. If you've been thinking about getting involved, this is a great opportunity to connect and contribute!
