Graduate Award Nominations


Nominations Now Being Accepted (Deadline is Friday, April 7, 2023)

Outstanding Adult Learner Graduate Award

The college has established this award to recognize an Adult Learner who has distinguished himself or herself in academic achievement and participation in college/community activities. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. The student must have primarily completed their requirements on a part-time basis.
  2. Has a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average.
  3. Completed all the necessary requirements to receive an Associate Degree or Certificate of Specialization during the Spring, 2023 Commencement Ceremony. All Nominees must have applied for Graduation and plan to attend the Ceremony.
  4. Has demonstrated a commitment to college or community activities.

The award will be presented during the Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 24, 2023. Any member of the college community may nominate a candidate. Each candidate will be notified of his or her nomination. They, in turn, must submit additional information to be further considered for this award. The Outstanding Adult Learner Graduate Award is presented to the most qualified candidate as determined by a selection committee composed of members of the College community. College staff and their family members are not eligible for this award.

Alumni Association's Outstanding Graduate Award

The members of the Alumni Association present this award each year during the Commencement Ceremony to a graduate who has demonstrated outstanding achievement while at LCCC. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher while enrolled in a degree bearing program.
  2. Completion of all necessary requirements to receive an Associate Degree during the Spring 2023 Commencement Ceremony. All nominees must have applied for and plan to attend the Ceremony.
  3. Demonstrate general involvement in the affairs of the college such as participation in college-sponsored clubs, athletics, or other college-related activities; and/or demonstrate participation in activities that show a commitment to community improvement.
