What is KEYS?

KEYS (Keystone Education Yields Success) was developed in response to growing research showing that individuals who earn credit bearing diplomas, certificates or associate degrees are better able to get jobs at family sustaining wages with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

The program supports students throughout their educational journey until graduation. KEYS does not have a time limit. The program allows eligible TANF individuals to count class and study time as their “work activity” hourly requirements set forth by the county assistance office.

The purpose of the KEYS Program is to provide additional support while enrolled at the community college.
