What is KEYS?

KEYS (Keystone Education Yields Success) was developed in response to growing research showing that individuals who earn credit bearing diplomas, certificates or associate degrees are better able to get jobs at family sustaining wages with benefits and opportunities for advancement.

The program is primarily designed for students taking short term programs, however, students are also allowed to pursue their associate degree. KEYS students are allowed to use education time to count for weekly hourly requirements set forth by the County Assistance Office.

If you are currently receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) and are enrolled or seeking enrollment at Luzerne County Community College you are eligible for KEYS.
